Building this website has been a lot of fun, has definitely been a project that is outside of my comfort zone, and each day I look at the progress and cannot help but to be super excited! I am hoping that this page might be what I had wished that I had when starting my journey towards learning cyber security, and if even just one person is able to get there journey started here then I would consider that a success. I have, slowly, been trying to put out writes ups for some of the CTF challenges that I have done on Pico CTF’s website that might pique the interest of someone looking to get toes wet, while providing the level of detail that helps to provide context to what is happening. I am aiming to with time, to develop my writing skills so that the material is not only engaging and educational, but also fosters the desire for the reader to go down the rabbit hole and learn more about the topics that are touched throughout the walkthroughs. So far, I have two starter buffer overflow write ups that I think are looking pretty clean, and have content for another post prepped for when I have the time to write it out. I have considered doing video posts, as for me visual aids were the best for furthering my understanding about a topic, seeing things as they play out, rather than the curated finished product filled in gaps for me, but I honestly think that may be further down the road. If the demand is there I hope to be able to provide. At the time of wrting this I am pretty happy with the layout of the webpage (there are a few aesthetic changes that I would like to make along with getting the resources page off the ground, but those will come with time) so now I can start to lean into developing more content. For anyone curious, I have found that doing these write ups has forced me to come to a more complete understanding of the materials, and I highly recommend at the very leasttrying to write out an explanation of any given challenge olution to ensure that you know what you have actually done. I am looking forward to adding more content to the site and to bring you all along with me on this journey. Happy Hacking!
